ADV Coca-Cola

It’s a scenario most of us can relate to – paying to watch a movie only to have the experience ruined by loud eating noises or a blaring ringtone. To show how their actions impact what happens onscreen,Coca-Cola recently came up with a funny PSA that aims to get movie-goers to keep quiet at the theater.

Saatchi & Saatchi Denmark created two genre films – ‘Gangster’ shows a woman munching on her popcorn in a scene where a policeman is buried alive, while ‘Slurp!’ features a love scene humorously interrupted by the sudden appearance and noisy slurping of movie-goers. Both films are accompanied by the tagline “When you make noise during the movie, you become part of it.”

For ‘Slurp!’, the crew secretly filmed people before the movie and digitally inserted them into the short clip. According to executive creative director Jason Mendes, the stunt wasn’t easy to execute as it required extensive prep work and extremely fast editing to get right.
