Photographer Arthur Drooker is fascinated by conventions, which are particularly popular in the United States and bring together all kinds of people who are passionate about one thing, whether that be animal rights, tattoos, or.. um.. dressing up as a mermaid. Drooker has attended a whole range of weird and wonderful conventions for his project, Conventional Wisdom, and seems set to continue doing so until he has enough images to make a book. He loves the fact that convention-goers can be themselves and spend time with each other as if it was a family reunion of sorts. Take a look at some of his photos below.
