Joseph Binder Award 2020, international graphic design competition organized by designaustria is now open for entry inviting all designers and illustrators around the world, including students, to participate with their best works.
Graphic designers, illustrators, advertising agencies and students from all over the world are invited to enter their works realized in 2018 and after by 29 February (early bird) or 17 April 2020.
Launched for the first time in 1996, this competition is named after one of the most outstanding graphic designers and illustrators active in Austria between the two World Wars, who subsequently also revolutionized visual communication in the United States.
The winners will be publicly disclosed on 12 November 2020 within the framework of a festive presentation of the selected and prize-winning entries, to be held in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier. On the occasion of the award ceremony, a catalogue will appear containing all of the selected and prize-winning entries and introducing the members of the jury.
Furthermore, the awarded projects will be presented for a period of several weeks in an exhibition at designforum Wien and afterwards as touring exhibition in several European cities.
The Joseph Binder Award is held every two years. Entry fees: If you submit before Early bird deadline (29 February 2020) you benefit from 10% discount on entry fee), instead a regular deadline (17 April 2020) starts from 80 euros and is reduced for the members.
