The Cereals and Tubers Cluster houses the exhibitions of Bolivia, Haiti, Mozambique, Republic of the Congo, Togo, Venezuela and Zimbabwe and has a field of grain running right through the middle of two lines of pavilions. Two paths also lead to a communal area with a collective oven for making certain grain and tuber-based dishes, and the centre of the cluster features a chimney shaped roof The concept was designed by the Politecnico di Milano, the Moscow Architectural Institute, and New York’s Parsons School of Design, and the Cluster offers visitors numerous activities, as well as some much-needed shade and tasty local dishes from each of the participating countries.
