Sudan’s pavilion is inspired by a typical home in the North African country: the Nubian house, a one-floor dwelling with a central courtyard where the Sudanese people tend to eat all their meals and use as a social space. In the pavilion, visitors can learn about Sudan, its technological advancements as well as the challenges it faces, as well as about its efforts towards environmental sustainability in agriculture, a sector which accounts for 40% of GDP. They can also taste the rich and varied Sudanese cuisine, as well as taking a look at some of the handicrafts and particularly leather products produced in the country.
