After many, many years of waiting, Mattel has released a line of Barbie dolls in various shapes and sizes. The Fashionistas collection focuses on fashion, but the dolls themselves come in “Tall”, “Petite”, “Curvy”, and “Original” sizes, as well as representing a number of ethnicities, hair colours, and face shapes. This move from Mattel shows that they are finally willing to accept that it may be a good idea to promote body acceptance amongst the kids who play with their dolls, and we’re sure the new Barbies will prove to be popular amongst children and parents alike.
