If you look at this Parisian highway from a birds-eye view, it looks as though you’re staring straight into the abyss. As you can tell by the optical illusion style, the work was done by anonymous street artist 1010, in collaboration with Galerie Itinerrance in Paris, using four hundred litres of paint and taking seven days. The cleverly arranged, colourful layers and excellent shading on the 4,500 square metre artwork make it really look like the motorway is disappearing into the earth.
