Check out this awesome office renovation. Vladimir Radutny Architects in Chicago took on the makeover for Ranquist Development Group, and transformed a space which used to be inefficient and inappropriate into an amazingly raw and industrial looking open plan office space. The previous space included an enormous garage which was simply not necessary, so the architects changed the configuration by removing internal walls, increasing the space from 37 to 83 square metres, with a 27 square metre courtyard to boot. Concrete flooring was added and the architects stripped the walls back to their original brick. Windows were installed throughout so that the space feels open, and plywood desks run throughout the office, with partitions which divide work areas without creating a full on wall.
