Erik Johansson, a Swedish photographer and retoucher, also has a huge talent when it comes to photo manipulation. These impossible-looking situations are actually made up of various different photos which are blended together seamlessly to create images which are truly mind boggling – the photographic version, almost, of the works of such masters as Dalí and Escher. Each piece starts as a sketch, before the artist goes out to photograph situations, always paying attention to light conditions. He then pieces the resulting pictures together on his computer to create realistic but oh so confusing images. A selection of his work can be found below, and we’re sure you’re going to love it.
