A great notebook is a must have for any creative, and we are the first to appreciate the importance of beautiful stationery, especially when it – like us – is 100% Made in Italy.
Write Sketch & is the newest, coolest stationery brand on the block – the brainchild of Milanese designers Matteo Carrubba and Angela Tomasoni. The first WS& collection is called Super! and is comprised of four awesomely colourful notebooks, designed as a tribute to the postmodern movement in 1980s Italy.
We fell in love with the notebooks at first sight and were desperate to get a closer look at them. Thanks to the people at WS&, we’ve been able to review the entire first collection…
The key word to describe the four Super! notebooks with their super happy names (Super! Joy, Super! Squared, Super! Sprinkles, and Super! Confetti) is FUN. Each notebook is reversible and has a different print on the front and back, so it feels like you get two instead of one. The geometric patterns are bright and the hot gold foil logos, FedrigoniTM paper, and type of inks and bindings give you an indication of the high quality of the notebooks. Inside, a hint of print continues on each of the pages, but not so much as to be distracting. You can open the books all the way, so drawing and writing will be easy.
